''Miassine'' is the result of a friendship between people committed to human development of Armenian people and was born of the need to create synergies between development actors who share the same values: solidarity, sharing knowledge, local resources. Its mission is to foster effective partnerships in key areas for the future of Armenia: professional training, the social economy, rural tourism, promotion of young talents.
Anais Krikoryan is a founding member of Miassine, doctor-pharmacist, she worked throughout her career as head if projects in major pharmaceutical laboratories.
Alongside her successful career and her family life, Armenia has always held a special place in her heart.
For many years she dedicated her time and resources to the promotion of young Armenians in order to build a better ands stronger Armenia.
Following the earthquake of December 1988, she also became the godmother of Astrig who had lost er parents in the disaster; and together they support and stimulate each other to implement innovative projects.
Astrig Marandjian-Lapeyre is president and founder of Miassine. Graduated with a master’s degree in Humanitarian action of University of Geneva , she devoted all her energy and skills for human development in Armenia for nearly 20 years. Din 2001-2008 she was the director of SPFA in Armenia and managed a team of 10 members and more than 100 volunteers to implement activities to support families in need , support orphanages and retirement home, promote the French language trough a network of French-speaking clubs in Armenia.
With the creation of Miassine, she tried to promote a new generation of activities in Armenia marked by the conviction of the need to ensure the transition from a logic of assistance to a logic of development.
In this context Miassine distuinguished itself as one of pioneers of the social and fair economy in Armenia.
Janik Minassian is a founding member of the Miassine foundation. He dedicated a big part of his life to support Armenia first as a member of SPFA and since 2012 as the president of this organization. he mobilizes all his energy to promote the wealth of Armenian culture in France and build a better future for Armenians in Armenia. He is a vital bridge betweem SPFA and Miassine to highlight existing and potential synergies and to ensure maximum effectiveness of their intervention at the service of human development in Armenia.
Silva Mekinian is a founding member of Miassine. She is a former director of the National Opera in Armenia and ex Vice-Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia. In 1989 she created a project entitled “New names of Armenia” in order to discover and support young talents ,, help then in their progress, in acquisition of instruments and then make them participate in various competitions, festivals around the world and to make “in fine” of great musicians.
She managed to represent classical music, jazz and folk to a demanding audience, which speaks highly about her good taste.
Satenik Hovhannisyan is the local head of the projects of Miassine. She graduated with a master’s degree in governance of the Yerevan Brussof Institute and embodies the Armenain youth who believes in strength and the best future of Armenia. Due to her punctuality and intelligence, she manages projects of Miassine with great flexibility.
